This app never fails me. My library is stored in Apple M4a format and occasionally I need to convert files to MP3 and WMA. It never lets me down.
This app does exactly what it’s supposed to do with no fuss, no glitches and no confusion. I find it to be indispensable in my handling of audio files
it does not work at all. pay me back.
This software is bad. Bad as in doesnt work. Crashes before any conversion starts.
can not set destination folder as a source folder after update.
Just when you thought you couldn’t get something for nothing, this little app comes along and shows you that you can at least get something pretty good for next to nothing. I have a copy of Roxio Toast Titanium. Wouldn’t you think that for the large amount of money it costs, it would be able to convert a WAV file into an MP3? If so, you’d be mistaken. I needed something to occasionally perform batch conversions of audio files. Aucio-Convertor does it rapidly and without fanfare. It’s interface is quite simple. The codecs and formats include all that I ever use. Perhaps the only thing I’ve found that distinguishes it from the expensive apps is the absence of Variable Bit Rate encoding for MP3s, but that’s nothing I can’t live without and certainly no reason to deduct a star from an unpretentious app that’s as inexpensive as this one. Had it been costly, I might not have felt compelled to review it. Because of the almost unbelievably low price, though, I want to give credit where credit’s due.
for converting audio files to a better format, it is fast and simple to use. only thing is that it will remember settings from last time you used it and automattically use those settings. So for my new project it goes to a place and name that doens’t fit the currnt project so I usually have to redo the first file that I’m working on. Recommended tool.
Ive used this occasionally over the past year with my Mac OS X 10.8 laptop. Its worked great. No problems at all. Its quick and simple to use. Im not even an audio whiz but Ive used it to easily convert audio files for audiobooks and other purposes. Ive been pleased with it and felt it deserved a rating and review from me.
Claims to do batch processing, but can only handle one level of folders, meaning a single folder full of audio files. So if you have, for example, a folder with several sub-folders with audio files in them (different albums) then it is useless. Also does not support VBR MP3 encoding.
I downloaded this app and the first thing it did was freeze up when I tried to load a wav file for conversion. Does not let you change sample rates and it does not let you edit ID3 tags which is the whole reason I wanted a program like this. You get what you pay for, which in this case isnt much.
Some of my favorite apps are ones that do one thing specifically very, very well. This is one of those apps. I have a podcast and need to convert audio files all of the time, and this is an amazing tool. I downloaded it this morning and it easily saved me an hour, which is important because this is not my day-job. I am looking forward to adding this to my workflow and somehow configuring an automation with it.
Great simple app that does it’s job and does it very well! If you need it then get it! You can stop looking! You found what you need!!!
After about 7-10 batch files out of 25…it crashes….start over…crash…and crash…can’t get anything done if the app crashes.
I love this little bit of software. It is extremely easy to use and can even be accessed by right-clicking a file. The program opens up and converts to your desired file type immediately. To me, accessibility is incredibly important, being blind myself, and this software is completely accessible to VoiceOver users. Perfect 10 out of 10.
I bought this for one reason: To use for converting WAV, MP3 and AIFF podcast master files to OGG format, to post for download for the neckbeards who need OGG format. At 99¢, the price was right if it would make the process dead simple and thats exactly what this app did. Once configured, just drag and drop, and thats it. Perfect.
Does exactly what its says no more no less. All i need it for is to change some of my mac files into mp3’s and it does it quick and efficiently. If you have multiple files you can do that as well and have them saved in the folder you need them to be saved in, instead of dragging them off of the desktop and then into a folder, like some programs
Does the file-to-file conversion I needed without touching the iTunes Library (as some other apps do).
I’ve used this app now to convert a bazillion files - abolutely flawlessly. Thanks!
This is a fantastic app. Im a little bummed that it doesnt remember your bitrate preference through relaunches, but its not a big deal. I just leave it open all the time. It does exactly what it says it does, no more and no less. Life is good. I wish more applications were this simple and reliable.
